With 25 years of experience, Mr. Gilmore brings considerable mechanical and plumbing design experience in hospitals, industrial, education and government projects. His specialty is evaluation of system types, sustainable designs, preparation of energy studies and central utility plants.
Mr. Gilmore’s project involvement includes initial meetings with all parties involved, preliminary design, site investigation, design estimates, and construction observation. He has often served as Project Manager where he oversees the design team during each phase of the project. Mr. Gilmore pays particular attention to coordinating and maintaining efficient working relationships with the client and all other professional design disciplines involved from project development through project completion.
Mr. Gilmore is a LEED™ accredited professional and is active in a number of professional organizations, including the Association of Heating, Refrigerating and Air Conditioning Engineers (ASHRAE), the California Society for Healthcare Engineering (CSHE), the American Society of Plumbing Engineers (ASPE), the American Society of Healthcare Engineering (ASHE), United States Green Building Council (USGBC), and the Mechanical Engineers Association of California (MEAC). As a member of the USGBC, Mr. Gilmore stays current with the many new technologies and approaches to sustainable design.
Prior to joining P2S, Mr. Gilmore was President of Donn C. Gilmore & Associates, which merged with P2S in November 2013. He studied mechanical engineering at Cal Poly Pomona and also received a certificate in Plumbing Systems from UCLA.
