Senior Commissioning Engineer

Education: Bachelor's Degree in Mechanical Engineering or Construction Science

Registration: Registered mechanical engineer preferred and/or Certified Commissioning Authority (CxA)

EXPERIENCE

15 years experience in the facility design and construction industry with a minimum of 5 years of recent commissioning experience.  Experience as a third party commissioning authority for new construction and retro-commissioning of existing facility systems.  Must be capable of providing critical commissioning input during building design, construction, start-up and testing, training and handover.  Understanding of the operation and control of building systems required.

SKILLS

Strong interpersonal skills and experience in maintaining strong client relationships is required.  Strong organization and effective communication skills required.  Ability to communicate persuasively through oral presentations and written communications.  Knowledgeable with MS Word, MS Excel and MS project.

RESPONSIBILITIES

Develop, plan, and carry out building commissioning plans for existing and new facilities.

Develop, mentor and manage commissioning staff.

Interact with facility and major business clients to identify their requirements, define project scope and prepare proposals.
